In 1998, Vitar-Ceramaspeed Sdn. Bhd. ( VCS ) was started as a joint-venture between Ceramaspeed Inc. ( USA ) and VBC Electro-Heat Sdn. Bhd. A technology-transfer was agreed in order to design and locally-manufacture radiant heaters for distribution to OEM kitchen appliance manufacturers worldwide.

VCS was also granted the rights to manufacture the patented Eco-grill heating elements for kitchen cooktop, microwave oven and grill applications. This product was supplemented by the locally-designed Warmer Heater, which also became highly in demand by the same OEM appliance manufacturers.

Over the years, VCS-designed and manufactured heating elements were used by the world's leading home appliance brands in Europe, the USA, Australia, Japan and Korea. It is a testament to the customer-driven philosopy and high quality standards adhered to, by the company, coupled with competitive cost, on-time delivery and responsive customer service.
